Q: I thought that eating eggs increased your blood cholesterol levels. Is that still true?

A: No. Eggs do not contribute to high cholesterol. Eggs are still an important part of a balanced diet. Eat them in moderation.

Fat Facts - how to reduce the amount of fat you eat:
  • If you fry your food, use oils which are non-saturated such as olive oil.
  • Better yet, bake or broil your food to reduce the amount of oil you use for cooking.
  • Skin your chicken before you cook it. There is a lot of fat in the skin.
