Canadian Cancer Society
A community-based organization of volunteers whose mission is the eradication of cancer and the enhancement of the quality of life of people living with cancer.
Council for a Tobacco-Free Ontario (CTFO)
A volunteer-directed, not-for-profit organization whose mission is to eliminate tobacco products in Ontario.
The Health Communication Unit (THCU)
A provincial resource centre fully funded by the Health Promotion Branch, Ontario Ministry of Health. Developed to provide training and support in health communication and health promotion planning, evaluation and policy change.
Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario * General Site *Professional Site
Focuses on the study, prevention and reduction of disability and death from heart disease and stroke through research, education and the promotion of healthy lifestyles. They also provide a FREE HeartSmart Women's Guide.To order call 1-888-HSF-INFO.
Ontario Lung Association
Focuses on the improvement of respiratory health by providing community services and supporting medical research.
Ontario Ministry of Health, Health Promotion Branch
Acts as a focal point and a catalyst for health promotion policies and programs within the Ministry of Health.
Ontario Ministry of Health, Public Health Branch
Provides leadership and support to Ontario's public health system through comprehensive consultant support services to 37 boards of health.
Ontario Physical and Health Education Association (OPHEA)
A provincial, not-for-profit organization which exists to positively influence the lifestyles of Ontario's children and youth through the provision of quality leadership, advocacy and resources in the area of physical and health education.
Ontario Prevention Clearinghouse (OPC)
A non-profit organization with a multi-disciplinary focus on health promotion and prevention activities across the province.
Program Training and Consultation Centre (PTCC)
A resource centre fo the Ontario Tobacco Strategy which is funded by the Health Promotion Branch, Ontario Ministry of Health.

Heart Information Network
This is an independent, educational site founded by a heart patient and a physician. It provides a wide range of information and services, including material for those interested in lowering risk factors.
Heart to Heart Volunteers
Here s a great collection of newsletter articles by cardiologists, registered dietitians and exercise physiologists. It also includes recipes, exercise tips and stress reduction techniques.
